Informal hands-on classes. Practical skills relating to the use of computers and the World Wide Web in everyday life. Courses comprise of 12 classes and span one school term. Certificates are rewarded at a formal ceremony. Educators are introduced to the use of the computer and World Wide Web as a teaching and learning tool within the educational context.Assistants will be available during the workshops to assist you with any hands-on problems. Tutors will be appointed to assist you after the workshop. Ballroom dancing lessons are presented by EC Dancing.Saturdays from 10:00-12:00.Sokkie & (boere) waltz group classes. Rocky Ridge Estate is conveniently situated 15 minutes from Pretoria, and 50 minutes from Johannesburg, as well as only minutes away from the N1 (Polokwane) highway. We cater for a variety of occasions such as kiddies parties, Christmas parties, church services, weddings,conferences,meetings etc. Venue Hall: Black Rock hall is ideal for church services, weddings, conferences and meetings - actually any social gathering! Also available for school concerts - especially for pre-primary school concerts. Rocky Ridge pre-primary school: This is a unique pre-primary school for children (ages 2 - Grade R/Grade 00) - the epitome of first-class early childhood education. We have created conditions for learning that will enhance and facilitate our pre-primary children's skills as it is done nowhere else! Road safety centre: The road safety centre is aimed at inculcating basic road safety principles. Groups of up to 250 children from primary (grades 1-7) and pre-primary schools are welcome to book visits. Many options such as different presenters - Daantjie Cat or a traffic officer for example can be arranged. Special rates for groups bigger than 40 children. Reading school Our reading and language programme concentrates on improving the reading techniques of learners from grade 0 to tertiary level whose performance of the following do not comply with their potential: their reading speed, reading fluency because of limited vocabulary, language, spelling and word recognition. Our computer-aided reading and language programme will make all the difference to the academic achievement of school children regardless of their ages.
